HIS MERCY PDF Print E-mail
Reaches out in acts of compassion for widows, the fatherless, the needy, and victims of natural disasters.

At HIS1040, we want to share the message of Christ by living in such a way as to clearly show the true character of Christ. Scripture shows us that the living God is a God of mercy with an especially soft heart for the poor and vulnerable. HIS1040 helps fund the upkeep of 7 children's homes for orphans in Africa and Asia, funds livelihood projects for the disabled in Palestine, and installs drinking water wells in Cambodia, Burkina Faso, and India.

All of these projects are initiated by the local ministers who are most effective at spotting the most pressing local needs. It is our privilege to listen to our partners share about these needs and bring them to the attention of our donors. Would you consider funding a HIS Mercy project to help an indigenous servant reach his or her communities most pressing needs? You can participate in the HIS Mercy program in various ways;

1. Adopt a Child
For $30 per month, you can join the "Adopt a child" program to receive information about a child in one of the children's homes we support. There are millions of children all over the world who are victims of extreme poverty, malnutrition and all kinds of diseases. The orphans of AIDS and war are among the most vulnerable people on earth. Many children have been deprived of even basic education and the blessing of a loving home. A simple act of compassion can spell out the difference in the life of a child.

Yes, you can help make that life changing difference if you only care. With "adopt a child" you can bless a child in a needy area of Palestine, Cambodia, Thailand or India.

Our Partners
There are reliable ministries, such as the Little Roses and Elam children's homes in India and the Good Sheppard Home in Cambodia with whom we are in partnership. The leaders of the ministries we partner with have been providing excellent care for orphaned children in Asia and Africa for years. Due to growing needs in those communities our partners need help to provide for more children added to their homes every year.

Your involvement
A monthly sponsorship of only $30 enables the ministries mentioned above to carry out their task of providing shelter, food, clothing, a stable home setting and a godly upbringing.

A child will be assigned
Sponsors will be assigned a child and provided a personal profile of the child who will benefit from your generous care.

2. Living Water
As our partners identify local needs we try to help them proactively plan strategies to meet those needs and ensure the development and improvement of the quality of life in the communities they serve. Many ministries have identified a need for a community water pump to be installed. We try to strategically plant water wells near places of worship, creating a central location for spiritual and physical watering. A designated a gift of $1,000 would help offset the expense of the installation of a community well.
