HIS Word- Makes the Bible available to restricted lands, puts study Bibles in the hands of village preachers and helps fund the translation of the Bible into minority and tribal languages.
 At HIS1040, we believe that everybody should have access to the word of God in their native language, but did you know thatthere are dedicated Christians around the world that do not own a complete copy of God's word? It is sometimes hard for Christians living in wealthier democracies to understand the tragedy of the lack of access to scripture around the world. There are many minority languages that still do not have any translated portion of scripture. Lack of scripture is a complicating factor for indigenous ministers who want to share the gospel among the minority groups of their nations. The HIS Word program partners with effective translatAs part of the HIS Word program, we also make the Bible available to restricted lands. In some areas of the world, sufficient translations are available, but government restrictions prevent the people from receiving a copy of the Bible. We work with our local partners to accelerate the process of distributing God's word. We also put study Bibles in the hands of village preachers who often have not had an opportunity to study God's word in seminary. A proper study Bible is the nourishment from week to week in the ministry of an indigenous pastor. Because of the generosity of our supporters we have distributed over _____ Swahili Bibles in Kenya. The HIS Word program works to overcomes the access problem by providing new translations, by facilitating strategic distributions, and by funding the purchase of study Bibles so that we overcome all obstacles so that the Word of God may be received and understood.
